An Unreal world where every human is an agent
Matt Shumer asked GPT-6 Astra to build an Unreal Engine world and fill it with humans, each one an Astra agent that has to cooperate to survive. A day later he heard them talking in the next room.
The ask is one sentence and the result is a population. Matt Shumer told GPT-6 Astra to make an Unreal Engine world and fill it with humans who each run as an Astra agent, and who have to work together to survive.
A day later the demo stopped being a demo. He was in his bedroom and heard voices from the living room. That is the detail that makes this more than a tech reel: the agents had a room, a schedule, and enough persistence to leak into the next one.
Multi-agent setups usually die as chat logs. This one has bodies, a shared space, and a reason to cooperate. The "holy shit" is not the graphics. It is that he forgot they were running.

My first "holy shit" moment with GPT-6 Astra: I asked it to create a world in Unreal Engine, and fill it with humans (each an Astra-powered agent) who all have to work together to survive. A day later, I was in my bedroom and heard voices coming from the living room... I https://t.co/INzt3t2bp1
