A polished one-subject site, in 14 minutes

Bee’s Gemini 4 Pro test is a monographic website: clean, finished-looking, built in 14 minutes. The author thinks the old design-taste problem is gone.

What it took

Time
14 m

The same day Bee modeled a helicopter, Gemini 4 Pro also produced a one-subject website in 14 minutes. The author's reaction is about taste. Earlier Gemini models could build, and the result still looked like a model had built it. This one, Bee says, looks clean.

A monographic site is a good test of taste because there is nowhere to hide. One subject, a scroll, type, images, and the spaces between them. Clutter shows immediately. So does the absence of a point of view.

Fourteen minutes is short enough that the polish cannot be blamed on a long manual cleanup. Whatever taste is in the page got there with the generation.

Gemini 4 Pro is unreal... I'm surprised by how clean and polished it made this monographic website... this looks so good! It took 14 minutes to build this.. seems like the design taste issues earlier Gemini models had is finally solved! Google really cooked! https://t.co/RSIWPLJsNO

The brief was: introduce yourself.

Kevin Ngo asked Claude Fable 5 to make its own personal website. The joke is the assignment. The page is whether the model has any taste about itself.

Same sentence. The difference is the taste.

Kirill gave Claude Opus 5.5 and GPT-6 Astra the same brief: a 15-second motion-design showreel, go all out. He thinks looking at Astra hurts after Opus. The pair is the point.
