Scroll-animated sites, one shot, from a skill

Nate Herk told GPT-6 Astra to use a custom scroll-craft skill and build different websites. The only extra instruction was to impress him. The one-shot pages did.

last month

Nate Herk did not describe a brand, a palette, or a section order. The instruction was to use a custom skill called scroll-craft, build different websites, and impress him. GPT-6 Astra one-shot the pages.

A skill carries the opinions: how a scroll animation should be paced, what a page owes the person who lands on it. The model is spared from inventing taste from scratch. The variable part was "impress me," a brief that usually produces noise. The author says this one produced the opposite.

The craft lives in a reusable skill. The prompt is allowed to be short.

One shot website design outputs from GPT-6 Astra. All I told it to do was use my /scroll-craft skill and build me different websites. I told it to impress me. Very impressed. https://t.co/ybX9ayIh3x

The brief was: introduce yourself.

Kevin Ngo asked Claude Fable 5 to make its own personal website. The joke is the assignment. The page is whether the model has any taste about itself.

Same sentence. The difference is the taste.

Kirill gave Claude Opus 5.5 and GPT-6 Astra the same brief: a 15-second motion-design showreel, go all out. He thinks looking at Astra hurts after Opus. The pair is the point.
