Infinite Slop, a livestream with no last frame
Pieter Levels built Infinite Slop, an endless AI livestream. Whatever you type in chat is generated next, and the model tries to connect it to the shot you just saw.
Infinite Slop takes the insult in its name and builds a product out of it. Pieter Levels made an AI livestream that does not end. Chat is the script: whatever someone writes is generated next, and the model is supposed to join it to the previous shot so the slop has continuity.
Continuity is the hard part, and the only part that makes this different from a folder of clips. A stream that ignores what just happened is a playlist. A stream that has to honour a stranger's last message is a negotiation, live, with no editor.
The joke is the title. The system is the join. Watch whether the next shot remembers the last one, because that is the entire invention.
