Fly a plane through an entire hurricane, in the browser
Techartist built a 3D game where you fly a plane through an entire hurricane — made with Claude Opus 5.5 and Three.js, and it runs in the browser.
The same creator who put an interactive jet engine in the browser now puts you in the cockpit and sends you through a hurricane. Opus 5.5 wrote it, Three.js renders it, and it runs in a browser tab.
A storm is a strange thing to build a game around, because most of it is air. The challenge is making weather feel like a space you fly through rather than a backdrop painted behind the plane. Here the weather is the level design.
Put it next to the jet engine, posted a week earlier, and you can see a pattern: one person, one model, and interactive 3D pieces arriving at a pace that used to take a small studio.
