A cartoon about Claude and Codex, from one short prompt

kirill sh gave Opus 5.2 Max a short prompt and let it run for five hours. The result is a one-shot cartoon starring Claude and Codex.

A short prompt, five hours of unattended work, and out comes a cartoon whose stars are Claude and Codex — two coding tools that plenty of developers already pit against each other in their heads.

Note the model: the post says Opus 5.2 Max, not the newer 5.5 that dominates this batch. That makes it a useful data point. Long, hands-off runs that end in a finished piece of animation are not unique to the latest release.

Five hours is a long time not to touch something. All the direction went into one short prompt up front; the rest was trusting the model to carry a story to the end on its own.

The work happened while he slept.

One prompt to Opus 5.5: he spoke to his computer for five minutes, Claude worked for twelve hours, and he woke up to a finished animated short.
