Debut at 83: an AI short about a late-blooming musician

Most AI films lead with a look. This one leads with a character: an age, a job and a city. An 83-year-old who runs a photocopy shop in Jakarta decides he is ready for his musical debut, recruits a passing student to photograph the album cover, and strikes awkward poses with the confidence of a veteran producer.

That premise is a harder test for a video model than any spectacle. The comedy only works if the old man stays the same old man from shot to shot — same face, same posture, same dignity — across about three minutes.

Note the order of the credits on the post: the film and the director first, the model in one line at the end. That is the right order, and still a rare one.
