Vibe Coding

A Claude Code spinner that draws live cartoons of the work

Anshu vibe-coded a Claude Code spinner mod that watches what the main agent is doing and uses Sonnet 5.5 to turn it into little cartoons in real time.

Claude Code's spinner tells you the agent is working and nothing about the work. Anshu replaced it with a mod that watches what the main agent is doing and has Sonnet 5.5 turn it into little cartoons, live.

It is a small, odd, delightful use of a model — not a product, a progress indicator with a sense of humour. A second model narrates the first one's work in pictures, so the wait becomes something you actually want to look at.

It is also a neat loop: the tool being customised is a coding agent, and the customisation was vibe-coded too. Modding your dev tools no longer requires knowing how they were built.

wait actually Claude Code mods are sick. I vibe-coded my own spinner that watches what the main agent is doing and uses Sonnet 5.5 to turn it into little cartoons in real time https://t.co/pJy6udAYPa

The brief was: introduce yourself.

Kevin Ngo asked Claude Fable 5 to make its own personal website. The joke is the assignment. The page is whether the model has any taste about itself.

Same sentence. The difference is the taste.

Kirill gave Claude Opus 5.5 and GPT-6 Astra the same brief: a 15-second motion-design showreel, go all out. He thinks looking at Astra hurts after Opus. The pair is the point.
