Catch of the Day, a 90s anime horror comedy

Catch of the Day has a premise small enough to survive a short: three rude customers want more crab legs, and the chef's supply chain is the horror. The joke needs faces that stay put and a turn you can see coming one beat too late.

bot. creates made it as a retro 90s OVA. Midjourney supplied the reference images. Seedance 2.5 did the animation. That stack is now a recognisable way to get a period look without pretending the model invented the decade by itself.

Horror comedy is a useful test because both halves fail loudly. If the crab is only pretty, there is no joke. If the joke lands and the drawings drift, there is no restaurant. The short is worth a place here when both stay in the same room.
