A valley, carried from Godot into Unreal

On a new MacBook, eta moved a Godot concept into Unreal with GPT-6 Astra driving Blender. Trees and lighting changed. The valley ended up full of god rays.

eta's post is a port, which is a more honest kind of demo than a world from nothing. A concept already existed in Godot. A new MacBook became the excuse to try Unreal. GPT-6 Astra drove Blender; the trees and the lighting changed; the valley came out the other side with god rays.

Ports show taste because the idea is no longer up for debate. What changes is the engine's idea of light, scale and foliage. If those edits are generic, the valley could be any valley. If they are specific, you can feel why someone would leave Godot for them.

The stack is the caption: Astra, Unreal, Blender. Three tools, one scene, and a before that makes the after readable.

Made with

GPT-6 Astra + Unreal + Blender I got a new MacBook, so I decided to try switching from Godot to Unreal. I moved the concept I had already made in Godot over to Unreal, then made a few changes to the trees and lighting. This is how it turned out. https://t.co/o9NbBfSWSY

Sixteen days, and every planet is a place.

Sac spent 16 days with Claude Opus 5.5, Tripo and Blender turning each planet in The Little Prince into an explorable 3D scene. This is the original behind the five-hour remake already on this site.
