Astra flies a drone through an office to find someone
Andon Labs had GPT-6 Astra navigate a drone through their office, find a specific person, and follow them. They say it is the first model to beat a human on every Drone-Bench task, at least once.
The prompt is a sentence a person would say to another person: find this person and follow them. Andon Labs gave it to GPT-6 Astra, attached to a drone, in their own office. The model navigates, identifies, and sticks with the target.
They also make a benchmark claim, and it should stay theirs: the first model to beat a human on each of the five Drone-Bench tasks in at least one attempt. An office is a kinder arena than a city, and still full of doors, people, and the ordinary problem of not flying into a monitor.
What makes it a feature is the closed loop. Not a waypoint demo. A search, with a face at the end of it, and a follow that has to keep working after the find.

"ChatGPT, find this person and follow them." GPT-6 Astra can autonomously navigate a drone through our office to find and follow a specific person. It's the first AI model to beat a human on each of the 5 Drone-Bench tasks in at least one of its attempts. https://t.co/GjevopXfbb
