A Grok Bot app, on a watch, without an API
moalo built a Grok Bot app for Apple Watch. There is no official API, so it is slow. It works anyway. The constraint is the product.
moalo built a Grok Bot app for the Apple Watch and immediately apologized for the speed. There is no official API. The thing works anyway. That pairing — slow, and real — is more interesting than a polished mock of a chat bubble on a watch face.
A watch is a mean client. The screen is small, the sessions are short, and a spinner is most of the interface if the round trip is bad. Building it without an official door means the app is a workaround that happens to be wearable. The author is not pretending otherwise.
It is worth featuring because the demo includes the flaw. The wrist is doing something. The network is the part that has not caught up.
