A ten-day film with a $29,575 invoice

PJ Ace spent 10 days and $29,575 on an AI film, and published the number to argue that AI is not cheap. Claude runs a skill for the process. The shots lean on Dreamina.

The caption is an argument with every $9 post on the timeline, including one on this site. PJ Ace spent $29,575 and 10 days, wrote "AI ≠ cheap," and pointed at a film that is trying to look like studio work. He says a Nexus feature will still cost millions next year, and should look like a $200 million picture.

The number is only interesting next to the picture. A large invoice on a mushy image proves nothing. A large invoice on something with coverage, faces and a finish is a claim about where the money actually went: iteration, not a single generate button.

He also ships the method. A Claude skill you can copy, and the Dreamina prompts, below the post. The film is the expensive object. The thread is the attempt to make the next one less mysterious.

The work happened while he slept.

One prompt to Opus 5.5: he spoke to his computer for five minutes, Claude worked for twelve hours, and he woke up to a finished animated short.
