From a turnaround sheet to a character on the web
kokushin went from GPT Image turnarounds to a Hi3D mesh, then Astra and Blender for the rig, and had the character moving on a web page in three days.
kokushin wrote the pipeline down, which is more useful than the clip. A turnaround first: front, side, and back, one sheet at a time from GPT Image. Hi3D turns the multi-view into a mesh — two million polygons — exported as FBX. Astra and Blender rig it. Three days in, it is embedded in a website and it moves.
Two million polygons is a statue, not a web character. The interesting work is everything after the mesh arrives: a rig that survives, and a page that can actually play the result. Most image-to-3D posts stop at the spinning turntable.
Three days, and the steps are ordinary. The path from a drawing to a controllable character is now short enough to list in a reply.
