A low-poly kitchen in a Silent Hill mood
Alex asked Astra for a low-geometry Silent Hill-style kitchen in Three.js, using an AI render-projection technique. It works. The author says it is still not perfect.
Alex asked Astra for a low-geometry kitchen in the mood of Silent Hill, built in Three.js with a render-projection technique from an earlier post. The author's verdict is the right size. It works, and it is still not perfect.
Low geometry is the point of the test. Horror usually spends its budget on grime, props, and hallways full of mesh. A kitchen with too few polygons has to get its unease from light, proportion, and whatever the projection lays on the surfaces. If it reads as a room you would not stay in, the technique is doing the job.
The seams are part of the post. It is a test, published while the imperfections are still visible.

Another test I asked Astra to create a low geometry Silent Hill style kitchen with @threejs using the AI render projection technique I explained earlier. It works, even though it’s still not perfect. https://t.co/762tewepND
