A mechanical butterfly, from one Three.js prompt
Bee asked Gemini 4 Pro for a beautiful mechanical butterfly in Three.js. It had been tested under a placeholder name. The butterfly did not need one.
Bee's prompt was almost a dare: make a beautiful mechanical butterfly in Three.js. Gemini 4 Pro answered with something that earns the adjective, which is rarer than another demo reel of chrome.
Mechanical creatures are a trap. Too few parts and it is a sticker. Too many and it is noise. A butterfly has a silhouette everyone already knows, so the mechanism has to live inside that silhouette — wings that still read as wings while they explain themselves as machines.
The model had been circulating under the placeholder "gemini-3.7-flash" before the name settled. The post is the argument that the output did not need the codename. It needed the wings.

Gemini 4 Pro surprises again! The prompt was to it to create a beautiful mechanical butterfly in three.js and needless to say the output is indeed beautiful! Earlier it was being tested under the placeholder "gemini-3.7-flash" but it seems to be have been removed from arena https://t.co/W46JGD2j8h
