A jet engine you can explore, intake to exhaust

An interactive 3D jet engine, from intake to exhaust, built with Claude Opus 5.5 and Three.js — engineering you can turn around instead of squinting at a flat diagram.

"Engineering doesn't have to be learned from flat diagrams" is the whole pitch, and it is a fair one. A compressor stage is a shape that only makes sense once you have turned it around.

Techartist built that object in the browser: a jet engine from intake to exhaust, interactive, with Opus 5.5 writing the Three.js. You do not really understand an engine by reading a labelled cross-section. You understand it by being allowed to be nosy — looking down the shaft, stopping on the part you cannot name yet.

The model did not invent the physics. What it removed is the week of modelling that used to stand between someone who understands a machine and someone who can show it.
