The Backrooms, built in Blender, not generated
Duncan Trussell had GPT-6 Astra build the Backrooms in Blender, then add VHS and sound, in about five prompts. He is explicit: this is not generated video.
Duncan Trussell’s caption argues with the way you are about to watch. GPT-6 Astra built the Backrooms in Blender, added VHS and did the sound effects, in roughly five prompts: about 30 minutes to make, another 20 to export. "This isn't AI generated video. It's all in Blender."
That sentence is the entry. A generated clip of yellow wallpaper is cheap now. A Blender scene is a file: cameras, walls, a grade you can reopen. The VHS is an effect on top of geometry, which is why the flicker sits on the room instead of replacing it.
Five prompts is the other number. The labour did not disappear. It moved into knowing that the output should be a scene, and saying so before the model reached for a video tool.
