Astra rigs a Tripo character, face included
Nano generated a character in Tripo, then handed setup to GPT-6 Astra — facial expressions included, by a method they call pretty unusual.
Nano's reaction is the useful one: GPT-6 Astra is absurd, and Blender is now something it can actually use. The mesh came from Tripo. Setup went to Astra, and so did the face.
Expressions are where generated characters usually go blank. A body can be approximate and still read. A face that does not move, or moves wrong, kills the shot. Nano says the method was unusual, and that is the part worth the post: not a default rig, a workaround that produced a performance.
Rigging is next, and they are already planning to hand that to Astra too. The claim is no longer "it can mesh." It is "it can stay in the file until the character acts."
