A three.js train world that chose anime
Chetan Ankola stopped chasing photorealism. Opus 5.5 rebuilt his three.js train world with richer foliage, stronger contrast and different hours of the day.
Chetan Ankola calls this the most beautiful thing he has built with Opus, and then explains the decision underneath it. He is done chasing photorealism. Better to live inside an anime.
The train world got a glow-up: richer foliage, stronger contrast, new colors, different times of day. Those are lighting and palette choices, which is what an anime actually is once you stop treating it as a filter. A place you would want to ride through has to change as the hour changes.
"Vibe coding a journey" is the caption's other half. The world is not a backdrop for a mechanic. The journey is the work.
